This location brings together practicing physicians from multiple specialties, including endocrinology, internal medicine, and other therapeutic areas. Notably, two of our Principal Investigators at this site are board-certified in diabetes and obesity, strengthening our expertise in cardiometabolic research and patient-centered metabolic care.

Jara McDonald, MD, FAAFP, DABOM

Dr. Jara McDonald is an Obesity, Diabetes, and Integrative Medicine Specialist with over 10 years of experience in cardiometabolic care and 4 years in clinical research. She owns and operates her own integrative direct primary care (DPC) practice focused on evidence-based mind-body wellness and integration of leading-edge research, providing personalized weight management care and individualized patient success plans. Her DPC model allows for increased patient access and facilitates in-depth discussions about research studies, enabling her to provide comprehensive care that incorporates the latest medical evidence.

Arti Thangudu, MD

Dr. Arti Thangudu is triple board-certified physician in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism, and Internal Medicine, with more than a decade of clinical experience. She provides integrative, lifestyle-focused care centered on sustainable behavior and habit change to help patients manage and prevent chronic conditions such as diabetes, thyroid disease, obesity, and women’s health concerns.

Dr. Thangudu is the CEO and Founder of Complete Medicine, a Direct Primary Care (DPC) practice offering personalized, relationship-based care. Through both in-person and virtual services, she supports patients across major Texas cities, including Houston, San Antonio, and Austin, with a focus on empowering individuals to take control of their metabolic and overall health.
