Celebrating Clinical Trials Day: Powered By Purpose.

Group Of Mature Friends Socializing In Backyard Together

Each year on May 20, we pause to honor Clinical Trials Day–a global recognition of the people, partnerships and progress that make clinical research possible. This day marks the anniversary of the first randomized clinical trial, conducted in 1747 by James Lind, and serves as a moment to reflect on how far we’ve come–and where we’re headed.

The theme for 2025, “Powered By Purpose.” perfectly captures the driving forces behind our mission at Tekton Research. As we celebrate this day, we’re proud to highlight how these three pillars shape our approach to clinical research and our commitment to Making Life Better.

“Clinical Research has always been in my heart and interest as a person who suffers from Marfan’s Syndrome and seeing the amount of years of research that they are consistently pouring into our disorder and trying to find a cure. I knew that even if I couldn’t be a part of that research and helping to cure myself that I wanted to be a part of a company that innovates getting these vaccines approved and being the fore front of helping this happen.” –Mila Z., Clinical Research Coordinator II

The Power of Partnership

At Tekton, collaboration is the engine that powers everything we do, through seamless and strategic partnership. Our Unified site network model empowers physicians, coordinators, and operational leaders to work together to deliver results without compromising on quality or patient care.

“Collaboration is the foundation of innovation and progress in clinical research,” says Corey Collins, President of Tekton Research. “When we bring together dedicated professionals with a shared purpose, we create an environment where breakthroughs can happen.”

“Since I was young, I was always the one asking the “why” and “how.” Careers in clinical research allow people to sit front and center to big questions that help drive scientific knowledge and answer those questions. Broadly, health affects everyone. It touches all of our lives. The questions we pursue, whether related to how to live healthier lifestyles, or much more narrow questions, such as, what treatments may best improve lung function in young adult cystic fibrosis patients, have profound implications on our lives. I am inspired by being at the confluence where all of the pieces meet. This includes physicians/PIs, support staff/coordinators, suppliers/vendors, CROs, sponsors, study sites, regulatory agencies/oversight, entrepreneurs/investors, and, most importantly, patients/volunteers. I am inspired each day by the people I work with and the ideas that all of these stakeholders bring to the table with shared goals of furthering scientific knowledge and discovering new medical therapies and technologies. This is my “why” power.”          –Hannah P., Site Manager

Driving Change

Innovation at Tekton Research isn’t just about new technology–it’s about smarter processes, better outcomes, and more inclusive care. By embracing tools like AI-enabled technology, automated workflows, and real-time patient engagement platforms, we’re improving both the participant experience and the quality of data we collect.

We’ve implemented flexible site activation models that allow us to adapt quickly to timelines, while maintaining compliance and operational excellence. Our recruitment strategies are rooted in patient-centric design, ensuring that participants feel informed, supported, and respected every step of the way.

Through it all, we remain committed to a culture of continuous improvement–constantly refining our methods to meet the evolving needs of the research landscape.

“I was inspired upon starting my career and seeing patients for the studies we conduct. Seeing people state they feel almost transformed following enrollment in some studies after receiving applicable treatment makes it all worthwhile knowing at least a small difference was made in someone’s life.” –Michael H., Clinical Research Coordinator III

Tekton’s Purpose: Making Life Better

Advancement in clinical research is happening at an extraordinary pace—from precision medicine and digital therapeutics to virtual visits and real-world evidence. These breakthroughs are not only reshaping how we conduct research but also improving how we diagnose, treat, and prevent disease across diverse populations.

At Tekton Research, we’re proud to be part of this evolving landscape. We contribute by accelerating access to research in underserved communities, supporting multi-therapeutic studies, and integrating new technologies that enhance both patient care and data integrity. These collective advancements help move the industry forward, making clinical trials more efficient, inclusive, and impactful for the patients who need them most.

“I have worked in Clinical Research since I was 18, and fell in-love with the potential to help people because of new science and innovations.” –Samantha R., Regional Director of Clinical Operations

Conclusion

On Clinical Trials Day, we extend our deepest gratitude to the participants who volunteer in research, the professionals who make it possible, and the partners who trust Tekton to bring their studies to life. This year’s theme, “Powered By Purpose.” is a timely reminder of the progress we’re making in the industry, and the shared values that continue to move clinical research forward.
