Kimberly Phillips, MD

Kimberly M. Phillips, MD, is a board-certified pediatrician and Principal Investigator with more than two decades of experience in pediatric care and medical education. Since joining Richmond Pediatric Associates in 2004, she has been part of a dedicated team of 11 physicians and four nurse practitioners serving children and families across the Richmond area.

Dr. Phillips earned her medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina and completed her pediatric internship and residency at the Medical College of Virginia. She served as Chief Resident and received the Emily Gardiner Chief Resident Award in 2003.

Before joining Richmond Pediatrics, Dr. Phillips served as an Assistant Professor and Director of the residents’ clinic at Medical College of Virginia. She is board certified in pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

As a Principal Investigator, Dr. Phillips brings pediatric clinical experience, medical education leadership, and access to a large pediatric patient population that can support research in vaccines, respiratory conditions, dermatology, gastroenterology, endocrine/metabolic conditions, and other pediatric indications.
