Dr. Ben Phillips is a board-certified endocrinologist with over 25 years of clinical experience and a long-standing commitment to advancing care for patients with metabolic disorders. He is the founder of Virginia Endocrinology, a growing practice soon to include a dedicated research wing and diabetes education center. His clinical interests include diabetes, obesity, and high-risk osteoporosis.

Get to know Ben Phillips, MD

With over 25 years of clinical experience, Dr. Phillips brings deep expertise in treating patients with metabolic disorders and a proven commitment to advancing patient care. A graduate of Vanderbilt University, he earned his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina and completed his Internal Medicine residency and Endocrinology fellowship at Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center and McGuire Veterans Hospital. He is the founder and single owner of Virginia Endocrinology, which will soon feature a dedicated research wing and an internal diabetes education center to support his clinical research efforts.

Dr. Phillips is a recognized member of several prominent organizations including the Endocrine Society, American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, Richmond Endocrinology Club, and the North American Association for the Study of Obesity. His clinical interests span diabetes, obesity, metabolism, and high-risk osteoporosis, aligning closely with Tekton Research’s therapeutic area focus.
