Ben Phillips, MD, is a board-certified endocrinologist and Principal Investigator with 25+ years of clinical experience treating patients with metabolic disorders. He is the founder and single owner of Virginia Endocrinology, which is developing a dedicated research wing and an internal diabetes education center to support clinical research.
Dr. Phillips earned his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University and his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. He completed internal medicine residency and endocrinology fellowship training at Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center and McGuire Veterans Hospital.
His clinical interests include diabetes, obesity, metabolism, thyroid disease, and high-risk osteoporosis. He is a member of the Endocrine Society, American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, Richmond Endocrinology Club, and the North American Association for the Study of Obesity.
