Tekton Research is currently enrolling adults 18+ years in a clinical study for Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA). RA is a chronic, inflammatory autoimmune disorder that causes joint pain, swelling, stiffness, and can lead to permanent joint damage if left untreated.
Understanding Rheumatoid Arthritis
Rheumatoid arthritis is a systemic inflammatory disease that primarily affects synovial joints. It typically presents as symmetric joint pain, swelling, and stiffness and can lead to bone erosion and joint deformities. Without proper treatment, RA can significantly impact daily functioning and quality of life. It affects approximately 1% of the population and is more common in women and older adults.
