Primary mitochondrial disease is a group of rare genetic disorders that affect how the body’s cells produce energy. Because mitochondria are responsible for powering nearly every organ system, symptoms can vary widely and may include muscle weakness, fatigue, neurological issues, developmental delays, or problems affecting the heart, liver, or vision.
Tekton Research is enrolling individuals with primary mitochondrial disease for clinical research studies evaluating investigational therapies.
Participating in a clinical trial may help you:
- Learn more about your condition
- Advance medical discoveries
- Access investigational therapies at no cost
- Receive compensation for time and travel expenses
Most studies provide compensation for time and travel costs. Health insurance is generally not needed to join a clinical trial.
There is never an obligation to join — we’re here to help you make the best decision.
For more information, complete the form on this page. After you submit your information, a Tekton enrollment specialist will call you to talk about the study. There is no obligation to participate — you can decide if the study is right for you.
