About This Research Study
Major depressive disorder (MDD) is a mood disorder that causes a persistent feeling of sadness and loss of interest. Also called clinical depression, it affects mood, behavior, and can lead to a variety of emotional and physical issues.
Tekton Research is now enrolling participants who have been diagnosed with MDD and who are currently experiencing a depressive episode for an observational clinical study. Eligible participants may be compensated for study-related travel and study related expenses.
Eligible participants…
- Must be age 18-74
- Must be diagnosed with MDD (Meet DSM-5 diagnostic criteria for MDD, without psychotic features based upon clinical assessment and confirmed by the SCID-CT).
- Must have had an inadequate response to at least 1 but no more than 2 antidepressants, administered at an adequate dose and duration started in the current episode of depression.
- Must have a BMI between 18 – 40
- Must NOT have current signs/symptoms of hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism.
- Must NOT have a diagnosis of panic, obsessive compulsive or a psychotic disorder
- Must NOT have a history of narcolepsy or seizures
- May or may not be experiencing insomnia
- May receive compensation for study-related travel and study related expenses
- Do not need insurance to join this study
